Google’s CEO has said in a recent interview that he believes that with the improvements in technology over the next 20 years, we will likely see that many middle class jobs that work on the internet, will be lost. This comes as no surprise to many, as you only need to look at the last 10 years to see how much of what was once a necessity to do manually, has since become automated and jobs become redundant. This shows a clear trend towards many other jobs in the internet economy will likely also become unnecessary. Unfortunately, many of the jobs on the internet are unique, and many of the job holders will likely be unable to find comparative work elsewhere. Meanwhile, there will still be a lot of highly technical work and also design work which will still be available.
